And because most fresh fragrances are not long-lasting, I’ve gathered my top 10 long-lasting fresh fragrances for the upcoming summer, which are guaranteed to:
- Perform well
- Smell good
- Land you compliments
And you can find one for every budget. Whether you’re looking for a cheap fragrance, a more expensive fragrance, or a truly expensive niche fragrance for summer… I got you.
The list goes from the cheapest to the most expensive, so you can easily find the one in your price range.
I won’t suggest a fragrance I haven’t tried myself. Not only are they “battle tested” in terms of longevity, but I also considered the smell and compliments – And I put them on this list because they simply work during summer. But enough yapping, let’s get started.
10. Rasasi Hawas ($40)
Longevity: 12 to 14 hours
If you like the smell of bubblegum, and you want a dependable cheap freshie, Rasasi Hawas is the one you should reach for.
Not to mention how beast the performance is…
When I first tried this, I was blown away by how long it lasted on my arm. Literally, a full 24 hours went by and I still was able to smell it on my arm.
I’d rank this as one of the best fresh long-lasting men’s fragrances on the market right now, because of the low price and the amazing performance… Not to mention the compliments you get.
The smell is a bit synthetic and sometimes overwhelming… But you can’t expect too much quality for the low price.
9. Versace Dylan Blue ($60)
Longevity: 8 to 10 hours
There’s not enough I can say about this beautiful masterpiece…
In my opinion, this fragrance receives too much hate, only because it’s so popular… But honestly, who cares? It’s time to stop thinking about what’s popular, and just wear what you like.
And if you wear Versace Dylan Blue during summer (or even winter), you’re about to make some heads turn. Guaranteed.
Listen, this is probably the most used fragrance in my collection. Think about this:
I bought a 200ml bottle around 2 months ago, and I’ve used about 50ml already. That’s how much I love this fragrance.
The value you get for the small price is unbelievable. I don’t think any other designer fragrance offers as much bang for your buck as this does.
And look, I’m not glazing, I’m just stating the facts.
Longevity is a respectable 8 to 10 hours, with a moderate projection. This is perfect for everyday wear, no matter where you go. If you decide to buy this, you should go for the 200ml bottle.
You can also go for Versace Pour Homme instead of Dylan Blue.
8. JPG Le Beau Le Parfum ($80)
Longevity: 12 to 16 hours
I was debating between this and the new JPG Paradise Garden, and I chose this. Why?
Three reasons:
- Paradise Garden is sold out everywhere at the time of writing this.
- Le Beau Le Parfum gives you a couple more hours of longevity and has a better projection. The performance is so good, that you can spray only two or three times in the morning, and you still smell it easily when you go to sleep.
- Le Beau Le Parfum’s bottle looks way cooler.
Smell-wise, I think the two are equal. Paradise Garden gives you a more green smell, while this has a more tropical coconut smell. You can’t go wrong with either, but I prefer JPG Le Beau Le Parfum.
You can also wear this during colder months because of how sweet the smell is.
7. Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense ($90)
Longevity: 8 hours
Great, everyday fragrance for the summer.
D&G Light Blue Eau Intense smells like lemon and salty seawater, which makes it extremely good for high heat.
If you’re looking for a summer signature scent that’s not too costly and has a decent performance, you can’t go wrong with this.
But as a heads up…
One drawback for some is that the smell can remind them of rotten eggs, and I think it’s because of the saltiness. So I suggest you test before you buy a full bottle, see if you like it.
6. YSL Y EDP ($100)
Longevity: 8 to 10 hours
If you don’t know what you’re looking for and you can afford YSL Y EDP, then I recommend you buy it.
The versatility you get out of this is amazing. Not only is it the perfect and one of the most complimented scents for summer, but it’s also good for winter.
The apple note makes this an extremely good and unique-smelling fragrance, which you can wear no matter where you go. Definitely a solid choice for beginners and intermediate collectors.
I’d say this is more suitable for teenagers and young adults, but even if you’re a bit older you can still wear this.
Longevity and projection is amazing, you only need a couple of sprays and you’re good for the day.
5. Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint ($100)
Longevity: Over 16 hours
Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint is an absolute beast mode fragrance.
When talking about long-lasting men’s fragrances for the summer, this one is up there with the greats…
You need no more than 2 sprays, and you’re good for the whole day. Spray it in the morning, and you can still smell it the next morning no joke.
But the smell…
I’m not a fan, and I ended up selling my bottle. But that doesn’t mean you won’t like it…
Fragrances are subjective, and if you’re a fan of mint and citrus then you should at least sample this.
4. Prada L’Homme ($100)
Longevity: 8 hours
This is a banger… And I know bangers.
I think Prada L’Homme is one of the best (if not the best) clean-smelling fragrances for summer. It’s a soapy, laundry-clean smell that you can’t resist.
And a head-turner for sure…
If compliments are what you’re after, and you want everyone to notice you next summer, then do yourself a favor and buy Prada L’Homme.
The longevity is above average as well, which is why I included this in the list.
3. Dior Sauvage EDP ($120)
Longevity: 8 to 10 hours
Now if you wear Dior Sauvage EDP (or any version for that matter) in 2024, you are the biggest NPC there is… Is what an ignorant person would say.
Let me ask you this:
Why would you limit yourself from using good fragrances, only to avoid being an “NPC”? If you like the scent, then you should wear it confidently.
And listen, the true NPCs are the people who wear no fragrance at all. So no matter what fragrance you wear, you’re not an NPC, and that’s the end of it.
I like Dior Sauvage EDP a lot since it’s a fresh and manly scent, and versatile enough to wear during warmer and colder months. It has always been in my rotation, and it always will be.
The performance is amazing, so you need no more than a few sprays.
2. Acqua Di Gio Parfum ($125)
Longevity: 6 to 10 hours
Some say the performance is not that good, but from my experience, I get an easy 8 hours of longevity with this, and the projection is decent as well.
I really don’t have anything bad to say about ADG Parfum. I love the smell because it reminds me so much of the discontinued ADG Profumo, and it also has a fresh vibe from Profondo. It’s the perfect mix of darkness and freshness.
And because of that, it’s an extremely versatile, year-rounder fragrance that you can wear anywhere you go at any time.
1. Parfums De Marly Sedley ($250)
Longevity: 8 to 10 hours
The price of this may scare you, but let me tell you something…
I’m not your typical “niche snob”, but this fragrance truly is a beautiful blend and a perfect fit for the summer. I love this, and I’m about to buy this for the next summer too.
Why I chose PDM Sedley over PDM Greenley is because Sedley lasts longer for me, and in my opinion, smells way better. I’m not a fan of the woody notes on Greenley.
Now if you like Greenley more, then by all means go buy it. This is just my preference, and what suits me doesn’t necessarily suit you.
But keep this in mind:
Sample first before you buy an expensive fragrance like Sedley or Greenley.

You can still use a few angles to make any fragrance last longer and perform better.
First, spray fragrance on your pulse points. You can find pulse points from your wrists, behind your ears, neck, and behind your knees – And spraying on those spots helps your fragrance radiate better and longer.
Second, you can use unscented Vaseline and drink more water to moisturize your skin, which makes your fragrance last longer. A dry skin will use your fragrance as a moisturizer and “eat” it up faster.
